Fun Zone

Attention kids! Test your paintball skills, fly safely high on a bungee trampoline, and bounce to your heart's content in the Autumn on Parade Fun Zone, held in partnership with the Oregon Park District.

This event, featuring attractions from Tim's Toyz, is located just a few steps north of the Ogle County Courthouse Square, next to the Oregon Coliseum.

Activities will be offered on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A paintball shooting range, a 4-person bungee jumping trampoline, and three milder bouncy enclosures for smaller children are the main attractions.

Tickets are needed for each activity and can be purchased in the Fun Zone.

A face painter will also be on-site providing creative designs for a fee.

The Oregon Park District will be providing volunteers for the Fun Zone this year.

The park district has also created a special Autumn on Parade photo backdrop where kids, and adults, can pose for that unique photo to remember your visit to the festival for years to come. Be sure to bring your camera!

The 2012 Fun Zone is located just a half-block north of Courthouse Square.

Bags Tourney

The Oregon Park District will host a Bags Tourney on Saturday, Oct. 6, during the Autumn on Parade festival.

The tournament will be held in the drive-thru parking lot of the Community Bank of Oregon, located at the corner of Fifth and Washington (Ill. 64) Streets in downtown Oregon.

Registration for the double-elimination tournament will begin at 11 a.m. with competition starting at 1 p.m.

The entry fee for each team is $20. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.

A cash prize will be awarded.
