Today is
Autumn on Parade 5k – Growing A New Tradition!

All of the usual suspects will appear for the 3rd annual Autumn on Parade 5k Run/Walk – music, great course, chiropractic and massage therapy booths, premium t-shirts, professional timing, good food, sports drinks, great raffle prizes, awards to overall male/female finisher and top three male/female finishers in each age bracket.

Over 330 participants registered for the 2007 race and this growth is the primary reason for the addition of a family component to the 2008 race event. Details about this will be added very soon.

Official starter, Harry Fletcher will again get the runners off to a fast start at 8:00am. Participants will finish near the Blackhawk Center of Oregon High School with half of the course run on fast, flat residential roads and the other half run on a paved running/bike path with some turns and hills. The 1 Mile Fun Run course will cover the same course as the last mile of the 5k race so spectators will have plenty of viewing capabilities.

In 2007 the race proceeds were split between the American Cancer Society, Polo H.S. Cross Country and Oregon H.S. Cross Country. We are committed to giving back to the community by enhancing the opportunities of running enthusiasts and community members so we are excited to announce that the proceeds will again be donated. The organization(s) are yet to be determined so if you have any suggestions that you would like to submit for consideration please send an email to oregonrunner@insightbb.com.
