2012 Annual Harvest Time Parade
"Autumn in Wonderland" is the theme for the 2011 Harvest Time Parade, slated for Sunday, Oct. 7 during the Autumn on Parade Festival in Oregon.
"We are busy lining up entertainment for this year's event," said Marseyne Snow, chairman of the annual Harvest Time Parade. "We plan on having several returning favorites as well as some new entries and we have already booked Alice in Wonderland-themed entertainers for the parade and as part of Saturday's entertainment."
The Jesse White Tumbling Team, Sinful Saints, and South Shore Drill Team are just a few of the entries that will be returning to this year's parade.
Antique tractors and vintage vehicles, youth groups and marching bands will also be on hand to entertain children of all ages.
As in the past, first place trophies will be given out in the following categories; Antique Tractor, Antique Vehicle, Color Guard, Junior High Band, Senior High Band, Equestrian, Novelty, Float, Junior High Pompon/Flag Corps, Junior High Drum Major, Senior High Pompon/Flag Corps, Senior High Drum Major, Youth/4H/ Scouts and Best of Show.
All trophies must be picked up after announcement of winners at the end of the parade. No trophies will be delivered, shipped or held.
There is a $50 fee for commercial units and campaigning candidates and/or incumbents.
The parade steps off at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7th.
"Our deadline for entries is September 15, 2012, but sending your parade entry in as soon as possible is always appreciated and recommended," said Snow.
